一階に戻ってまいりました。写真が暗くて申し訳ないです。家の玄関側の窓枠と同時期にに取り付けられた愛想のない80年代のアルミサッシです。ここは取り換えずに、見た目改善のた内窓を作ります。

Now we are back to the first floor. And I apologize for the photo being dark. The windows are the boring 80's style aluminum models the same as the ones that were on the entrance side. The plan here is to not replace them but add internal windows for cosmetics.

先ずサッシの溝を切ります。こちらは浅い方で下になります。
First, we do the grooving. These has the shallow grooving which will go to the bottom side.

こちらは深い方で上側の溝になります。

These are the deeper grooving which will go to the top side.

取り付けた状態です。写真だけ見ると簡単ですが、溝切に物凄い量のオガクズが出て掃除が大変でした。もちろんこれからの方が大変な訳ですが・・・。

 Below are the window sills attached. It looks easy if you just look at the photos, but the grooving cutter gives out a huge amount of sawdust which is a bit of a task to clean up. Of course, the going gets tougher from here...

次は窓枠を作ります。そんなに大変ならなんで作るのかという疑問もあるかと思いますが、元ある窓の内窓にするので既製品が無いからです。オーダーしたらとんでもない値段ですが、自作すれば只みたいな値段で出来ます。

Next, we build the window frames. There might be a question on why we do this if it's so cumbersome, but since the plan is to build internal windows to an existing set, so we just can't buy one on the market. Custom ordering will be super expensive, but building them will be almost like free compared.

溝切カッターでツーバイ材に窓ガラス（今回はポリカーボネートを使用）ようの溝を切り、窓の形に並べて窓ガラスの大きさを図りカッターで切り出します。

We used the groove cutter with two by fours for the window glass (we used polycarbonate this time) layout the wood pieces and measure the size of the glass needed, then cut the polycarbonate with a knife.

ネジでコの字型に留めたらあいてる側からポリカーボネートを滑り込ませて最後の一片を留めます。

Screw the frame to a "C" shape then slide the polycarbonate sheet from the open end then fasten the last piece.

必要な枚数が出来たらサッシの溝にはまる厚みに溝切カッターで調整します。こちらは上側。

After you have the necessary numbers of windows, you trim the thickness to match the grooving. This is the upper side.

溝の浅い下側はこんな感じ。

The bottom side groove being shallower, the bottom side of the window looks like this.

内窓をはめた所。

The inner windows installed.

塗装後。

After paint.

全部の窓を2重にします・・・。なのでつづく！！
