我ながら思い出しすとえらい色々やったなと思いますが、事実だけでタイトルが長すぎてギャグも入れられなくなってきてます。
I almost amaze myself on how many things were done, but the thing is the title is too long putting facts in that there is no room for gags...

姉がアーチをご所望だったので優しい旦那さんである義理の兄は二つ返事で引き受けていました。私はやったことが無かったので特に意見は無かったんですが、これがまた大変だった・・・。

My Sister wanted arches and since my Brother in law is such a nice husband that he said OK without thinking twice. Well, I didn't know how hard it was back then so I didn't have an opinion about it...

簡単に書くとアーチ一つごとに石膏ボードにカッターでアーチの形を2枚切り取り、間にあんこを入れて珪藻土でお化粧をします。今回はネリードという製品を使いました。この製品は素人でも非常に塗りやすく優秀です。

The short version is for each arch, you use a knife to cut out two arch-shaped plasterboards, insert a spacer in between then apply diatomite as cosmetics. This time we used a brand called Nerido. This product is really easy to apply which makes it a pretty good product for amateurs.

そして柱を立てます。ご覧の通りコンクリートの基礎がここを走っているのでそこに柱を載せて2回を支えます。

And then to the pillar. As you can see the concrete foundation running here so we'll erect a pillar here to hold the weight of the 2nd floor.

この上にお風呂を作るということで強度確保のためです。

The thing is that the bathroom will be above so to reinforce the structural strength.

 
ご覧の通り柱は実際2本立ててちょっと構造壁のような形にしました。
 As you can see we actually put two pillars to make it into almost a small structural wall.

これ以外にもキッチンに構造壁を足していますが、それは次回。こんなことやってるから時間かかるんですが、なんせ古い家なので！

We also added another structural wall in the kitchen but that will be for next time. I mean that's why we're taking so much time, but this is an old house you know!
