On goes the terminal. The good stuff usually has two nuts on one bolt to stop it from loosening. Since for me, this speaker was very experimental, I used a lower grade one than I normally use. I would recommend a double nut terminal in most cases.
The manufactures usually use a type of terminal that is bolted on to a plastic mount, but that is to shorten the assembly time using a powered screwdriver so as to saving man-hours. Personally, I would like to have the least effect on the sound quality (For the record, not like I have tested the theory.) so I prefer to use these types of terminals.
The wires used were an OFC with Teflon insulation as I remember. The wire gauge (AWG) was 18 if I remember correctly.
There are 4 strands for each color, but this is to double wire the unit.
Like so. The reason why is that I would like to lower the resistance of the cable as low as possible so in order to achieve this. you would need the wire thick as possible, but at the same time that will challenge the assembly mechanically, so the double strands.
On goes the glue. You can see the baffle (front panel) connected to the rear panel. This for structural rigidity. The reason it's not connected thoroughly is that the reinforcements were from leftover material. This is because a 1820 mm by 910 mm ply wood (Japanese standard) was used.
I've mentioned before but if you do not have clamps, you could use screws after the glue has slightly dried for a precise build. This cabinet will have the edges shaved off at a 45 degrees angle so I wanted to avoid screws at that time. The theory is that smaller the unit the sharper the focus of the sound image/stage so I wanted to do a slim baffle as possible build. The structure being a cabinet width of 12 cm, shaving off the edges won't make much of a difference, but since it was an experimental build, I went for the most slimmest possible.

As you can see, the cabinet is quite slim even with the corners. A CD size width.
In Japan, it's called a "Mentori Kanna" which means chamfering plane. If you adjust the blade carefully and take your time, there's not much of a technique involved. If you are interested, I'd say go for it!

DIY LM3886 Gainclone パワーアンプ No.2 / DIY LM3886 (gainclone) Power Amplifier No. 2 タイトルにGaincloneとありますが、47LaboratoryのGaincardというアンプの(回路的な)クローンという意味です。音質に定評があるアンプのクローンであることもさることながら、このミニマリストなデザインが好き。メーターがあったらミニマリストじゃないだろうという人もいるかと思いますが、何にしてもかっこよすぎる。 The title has the word gainclone to it but this is about an amplifier from the 47 Laboratory named Gaincard and it seems this is it's clone (circuit wise). While it being a clone of a reputable sound quality amp, I like this minimalist design. Well, some might argue having a VU meter isn't minimalist, but it's just so cool.

DIYリフォーム パート30 - 化粧  / DIY Home Renovation Part 30 - Cosmetics 今回でとりあえず撮りだめた分は終わりです。窓をやりながら化粧をやっていったわけですが、ほとんどの壁は珪藻土です。例の ネリード というブランドのもので、非常に塗りやすくておすすめです。編者もこれ以前はコテで珪藻土をぬるという経験は無かったのですが、簡単すぎて拍子抜けです。広告費が出てるわけではないですよ!ただ、水性とはいえ床に落とすと拭かなければいけないので、それなりに体力は使います。 These are the end of the photos that have been taken for the moment. We did the cosmetics for the wall alongside doing the windows, which was done with the Diatomaceous earth that goes by the brand of Nerido , and is insanely easy to apply. I have never used a trowel before but it was to the level that it was anticlimactic. And I'm not paid to write this!
