組み立てに入ります。シャーペンで組み立ての際にどこに板材が取り付けられるべきか印をつけます。

Now to the assembly. Marking with a mechanical pencil to indicate where the wood piece should be attached.

 

この時は木工用ボンドのみで組み立てます。もちろんネジや釘を使っても構いませんが、当時は播金（クランプ）を沢山用意していたので、ボンドだけで行いました。

For this time around, I used only wood glue. You can use screws/nails of course but at that time I had a lot of clamps so I used just wood glues. 

必ず水の入ったバケツと捨てて良いタオルを用意するようにしています。ボンドは乾くと取り除くのに苦労しますが、濡れてる間はふき取りは簡単です。

I always ready a bucket of water with some throw-away towel. The glue will be very hard to get rid of after it's dry, but very easy when you wipe it off while dry.

このように綺麗に拭き取ります。 如何に綺麗に拭き取るかで塗装・ステイン前の下地の準備の手間が省けるかが違ってきます。完璧に拭き取ればほとんど下地調整はいりません。やすり掛けが沢山必要であれば、真っすぐにやすり掛けをする技術により多く依存するので、初心者ほどここで手を抜くと全ての難易度が上がると思ってください。

So wipe off clean. How clean you wipe it off will directly affect what extra you would need to do to prepare for painting/oil staining etc. If you need to sand a lot, you need to have the skill to sand things straight as well so the more of a newbie you are, everything will be made harder if you slack here.

 板面を合わせる場合は平らに薄く塗ることをお勧めします。オーディオ用なので、できるだけ頑丈に。水も漏れないようにが基本です。勿論ユニットの穴やポートの穴は例外ですが。

On fitting the face of the plywood, I would recommend you give a flat thin layer of glue. Since it's for audio, it should be as robust as possible. As in even water won't leak through. Of course, the unit holes and port holes are an exception.

クランプ類が無い場合は個人的にはネジがおすすめです。ネジ頭を木の表面より深く入るように締めて、その上から木工用のエポキシパテで隠すのが簡単です。k綺麗にやすり掛けをすればステインでも結構目立ちません。

If you don't have clamps laying around, my personal recommendation will be screwed. Have the screws tightened to where the screw head rests below the surface of the wood, then use a woodcraft epoxy putty to hide the screw head. Sand them smooth and you will hardly notice them even if you use oil stain.

底面の取り付け。

Assembling the bottom. 

中板の取り付け。Quarter Wave Tube （クォーター・ウェーブ・チューブ）いうだけあって管の形をしています。1/4波長分の長さを確保するため（47.7Hzの音波の長さの1/4）、全長180㎝程度の管が必要なので90㎝のスピーカーの中で1回折り返すため中板が必要になってきす。

Assembling the middle piece. As it is called a Quarter Wave Tube, it is shaped like a tube. In order to reach a quarter length of the wanted sound wave, we need a 180cm tube, so the speaker height being 90cm, the pipe needs to be folded in the middle, hence the middle piece.
