上でブロックを戸口の左右につけていますが、その上に柱を立てます。両開きだったドアを標準の片開にするためです。ところで英語で両開きのドアをフレンチ・ドアって言うんですが、何ででしょうね。ポテト・フライもフレンチ・フライって言いますね。フランスパンは本当にフランス由来？フランスが秘密裏に世界征服を！？謎は深まるばかり。

There are concrete blocks placed on both sides of the doorstep but this if for erecting pillars to have the French doors replaced with a regular door. By the way, why do you call those double doors a French door? And why do you say French fries? Does French bread really come from France? Are the French secretly taking over the world? このあと内側は石膏ボードで、外側はラスカットで閉じます。

残念ながら工期に本来のドアが間に合わなかったため、仮のドアが業者さんから送られてきていました。開けっ放しは行儀が悪いので今日の所はこのドアです。

Unfortunately, the door didn't make the deadline so the supplier sent us a placeholder. It's against manners to leave the door open so we attached this one for today.

ご覧の通りラスカットで閉じて、今度こそモルタル準備OK！

As you can see, we've attached Lathcut and now for real, we're ready for the Mortar!

DIYリフォームパート30 - 化粧 / DIY Home Renovation Part 30 - Cosmetics 今回でとりあえず撮りだめた分は終わりです。窓をやりながら化粧をやっていったわけですが、ほとんどの壁は珪藻土です。例のネリードというブランドのもので、非常に塗りやすくておすすめです。編者もこれ以前はコテで珪藻土をぬるという経験は無かったのですが、簡単すぎて拍子抜けです。広告費が出てるわけではないですよ！ただ、水性とはいえ床に落とすと拭かなければいけないので、それなりに体力は使います。 These are the end of the photos that have been taken for the moment. DIYリフォームパート29 - 窓地獄 / DIY Home Renovation Part 29 - Windows Hell おっと、マイクロソフトの悪口はそこまでだ！異常に窓の多い作りで建物の片側がほとんど窓という状況なので、以前の二重窓化の作業が延々と続きます。やってることは一緒なのでさらっとお写真だけ。 Stop right there!
